PST Lifeguard | Pay Rate $13.50 - $16.00/hr
Work as a certified lifeguard at Silliman Family Aquatic Center! This rewarding position teaches you lifesaving skills, teamwork, and many other great benefits! The primary role of our lifeguards is to guard lap swimming, recreation swim, and private events. Applicants must be Lifeguard certified through the American Red Cross or be willing to take one of our lifeguard classes to earn their certification. Lifeguards must be at least 15 years old.
PST Aquatic Instructor I (Swim Instructor) | Pay Rate $14.50 - $18.00/hr
Join our fantastic swim lesson program and teach swimming skills to children and adults! An Aquatic Instructor I is positive, patient, enjoys working with children, and has a passion for working with others. Swim team or coaching experience with young children, teens, and adults is desired. No experience teaching swimming? Not a problem, we do all our training in house! Swim Instructors must be at least 15 years old.
PST Aquatic Instructor II (Certified Water Safety Instructor) | Pay Rate $15.50 - $25.00/hr
Aquatic Instructor II is the advanced series in our Aquatic Instructor position. Ideal applicants have a verifiable history as a certified swim instructor with an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor background. Additionally, the applicant has a passion for teaching and leading aquatic programs of all skill levels. Certified Water Safety Instructors must be at least 15 years old.
PST Aqua Aerobics Instructor | Pay Rate $14.50 - $30.00/hr
Are you outgoing, energetic, and able to perform in front of an audience? An Aqua Aerobic Instructor leads our members and guests through group exercise and creates a fun workout environment for all populations. This popular water workout includes cardio and resistance training to help tone and sculpt without impact to the joints. Resistance tools may include buoyant water weights and noodles. Current Group Exercise approved certification is preferred. Certification in AEA is highly desirable. Aqua Aerobics Instructors must be at least 15 years old.
PST Pool Technician | Pay Rate $15.00 - $25.00/hr
Are you looking for a more behind-the-scenes aquatic work experience? Pool Technicians ensure the safety of all guests by maintaining proper pool chemistry and by completing hands-on maintenance tasks. This individual must be a self-starter, and have attention to detail. No experience required, we train in house! Certified Pool Operator certification desired. Pool Technicians must be at least 18 years old.

PST Customer Service Representative I | Pay Rate: $13.00 - $15.00/hr
The Customer Service Representative position is responsible for the day to day operations at the Silliman Activity & Family Aquatic Center from guest services, facility setup, and maintenance task. Candidates should have the primary computer and phone skills that will aid them in assisting customers in a fast-paced environment. Must have the necessary math skills of addition and subtraction for cashiering positions.
PST Birthday Party Host | Pay Rate $13.00 - $15.00/hr
Birthday Party Host works on the weekends throughout the year and assists with our birthday party program as a room host. Party Host deal with all party check-in, room set up and check out procedures by providing top quality customer service skills to ensure an amazing party! Applicants are required to have a valid food handlers card or be willing to receive one.
PST Cafe Worker | Pay Rate $13.00 - $15.00/hr
The Cafe Worker works out of Ollie's Pool Side Cafe during open recreation swim times. This position is responsible for sales, food preparation, and inventory tasks. Seeking (2) enthusiastic, motivated individuals who enjoy working with preschool-age children.The preschool instructor will plan and implement a comprehensive recreational and educational program to include arts and crafts, creative play, circle time activities and music and movement for children 3-5 years old. The instructors will have daily and on-going communication with parents.
Qualifications: Two years prior experience working with 3-5 year old children required. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Tech savvy, 12 units of Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution is desirable. A valid California driver's license, proof of negative TB test within the past year, and certificate of California Mandated Reporter Training (4HR course from www.mandatedreporterca.com) is required.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, with possible Saturday AM class. Work hours are subject to change based on program needs and or Recreation Supervisor direction.Class located at Silliman Activity & Family Aquatic Center.
Selection Process: Based on a review of qualifications and experience, those applicants determined to be the most qualified will be invited to an Oral Interview and Skills Demonstration.

Activity Coordinator: $14.00 - $21.00/hour Part-Time, Seasonal & Temp, No Benefits.
Enthusiastic, motivated and mature individuals who enjoy working with school-age children are encouraged to apply. Under general supervision, the Activity Coordinator will plan, organize and implement an 8-week program to include a wide variety of arts and craft projects, sports, games, excursions, and special events at the Newark Community Center. The Coordinator will have daily and on-going communication with parents. In addition, this position supervises staff working in the program.
Qualifications: Two years prior experience working with school-age children required. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Some college recreation classes or working toward a related degree is desirable.
Work Schedule: Must be available to work June 8-August 12, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with an additional 30-60 hours prior to June 8.
Recreation Leader I: $13.00/hour - $15.00/hour Part-Time, Seasonal & Temp, No Benefits.
Energetic, organized and responsible individuals who enjoy working with school-age children are encouraged to apply. The Recreation Leader I will assist in the implementation and planning of a wide variety of arts and crafts, sports, games, special events, and excursions.
Qualifications: Prior experience working with school-age children preferred, but not required
