There are approximately 153 acres of park and median landscape improvements maintained by the Parks Division. There are 13 parks and sport play facilities located throughout the City.

Birch Grove Park - 38080 Birch Street
Approximately 15 acres that include play structures for tots and older children, a water element, a fenced softball playing field, a basketball court, lighted tennis courts, and family/group picnic facilities. There are restroom facilities.

Bridgepointe Park - Spruce Street at Bridgepoint Drive
Approximately 4 acres that include play structures for tots and older children, and family picnic facilities. There are no restroom facilities.

Byington Park - Byington Drive at Central Avenue
Approximately 3 acres that include play structures for tots and older children, a water element, and family picnic facilities. There are no restroom facilities.

Civic Center Park - 6300 Civic Terrace Avenue
Approximately 5 acres that include play structures for tots and older children, a basketball court, a par course, and family picnic facilities. Civic Center Park also hosts the local Alameda County Library branch. There are no restroom facilities.

Community Center Park - 35501 Cedar Boulevard
Approximately 16 acres that include play structures for tots and older children, a combined basketball and handball court, lighted tennis courts, a children's wading pool, and family picnic facilities. The Community Center is located at this park. There are restroom facilities.

Eucalyptus Grove South - Cedar Boulevard at NewPark Mall
Approximately 2 acres that host the City's annual summer concert series. This park is largely unimproved. There are no restroom facilities.

Eucalyptus Grove North - Jarvis Boulevard at Cardiff Street
Approximately 3 acres that are unimproved. There are no restroom facilities.

Jerry Raber Ash Street Park - 37365 Ash Street
Approximately 6 acres that include play structures, softball practice fields, a basketball court, family picnic facilities, and a horseshoe pit. Jerry Raber Ash Street Park also hosts the privately operated Viola Blythe Community Center and a Head Start preschool facility. There are restroom facilities.

Lakeshore Park - Lake Boulevard at Parkshore Drive
Approximately 10 acres of turf and 16 acres of water that include a par course and fishing opportunities. There are no restroom facilities. No motorized boats are allowed on the lake.

MacGregor Playfields - 35725 Cedar Boulevard
Approximately 10 acres of soccer and youth baseball practice play fields. To schedule activities, contact the Newark Recreation Division at 510-742-4437. There are no restroom facilities.

Mayhews Landing Park - Cherry Street at Montcalm Avenue
Approximately 8 acres that include play structures for tots and older children, a combined basketball and handball court, and family picnic facilities. There are no restroom facilities.

Mirabeau Park - Mirabeau Drive at Haley Street
Approximately 6 acres that include play structures for tots and older children, and family picnic facilities. There are no restroom facilities.

Musick Park - Music Avenue at Cedar Boulevard
Approximately 1 acre that includes play structures for tots and older children. There are no restroom facilities.

George M. Silliman Recreation Complex - Mowry Boulevard at Cherry Street
Approximately 21 acres that include a fenced softball field and soccer play fields. To schedule activities, contact the Newark Recreation Division at 510-742-4400. There are restroom facilities. The George M. Silliman Community Activity Center opened in 2000 and the Family Aquatic Center opened in Summer, 2004.
