Application for Release of Police Report

Note: Per Government Code 6254, not all police reports are available for release.

If you are directly involved in a police report, such as being the victim of a crime, or a driver/property owner in an accident, you may request the report by submitting a Request for Release of Information form. Once your request has been received, the Records Division will contact you within 10 days to advise you of the status of your request (Government Code 6256). Police reports cost $10.00 for the first 10 pages, and $1.00 for each additional page. Please be prepared to present a valid I.D. upon accepting the report.
