Records
The Records Unit is currently staffed with 2 Public Safety Clerks, 1 Administrative Support Specialist II, 2 Police Volunteers and is supervised by a Lead Public Safety Clerk. The Newark Police Department Records Unit front counter is open to the public Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Records Unit provides a high standard of customer service to the public regarding:
- Police Records
- Crime Reports
- Clearance Letters
- Warrants
- Miscellaneous Front Counter Inquires
- Towed Vehicle Releases (this service is provided 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week)
