Risk Management

Risk Management is an effort to minimize and manage the City's liability claims. The City is self-insured, and all claims are processed through a third-party insurance administrator, the Association of Bay Area Governments, Pooled Liability Assurance Network, (ABAG PLAN). Persons believing they have a legitimate claim against the City must complete a claim form which can be obtained from the City Clerk's Office or by calling 510-578-4266.
